At Gesha Forest, our dedication to quality coffee begins with handpicking only the ripe coffee cherries at 21°Bx. We believe in processing the coffee the same day it is picked to ensure the best possible flavor.

The mucilage is removed through a carefully controlled fermentation process, not mechanically. And to preserve the coffee's unique characteristics, the drying process is completed under the warm sun on cement-tiled patios and raised beds. We take pride in every step of our coffee production, from the field to the final product, to bring you the finest Gesha beans.

It is a traditional process, predominant in Guatemalan coffee farming, by which the organoleptic characteristics of coffee are presented at their maximum expression.
Our washing process of Gesha coffee beans preserve the results in a coffee that is rich, smooth, and full of flavor, with a deep, complex aroma and a long satisfying finish.

NATURAL

The natural process is a traditional method of processing coffee beans that has been around for centuries. This process involves drying the cherries, including the pulp, directly in the sun. It is a labor-intensive and time-consuming method, but the end result is a unique and complex cup of coffee. The natural process of coffee production involves drying the coffee cherries in their entirety, with the beans still inside.

This allows the sugars from the cherries to penetrate the beans, creating a unique and sweet taste profile.
